French Ambassadors

Here is a message from Madame Tomlinson:

"Bonjour, je m'appelle Madame Tomlinson.  I am so pleased to have taught your children over the course of this term, wow, they have shown such promise in French!  Last half term we were honing our grammar and dictionary skills with years 4,5 and 6  - useful for all of their literacy work in the wider curriculum.  I met year 3 and we have covered personal introductions, numbers 1-31 and the days of the week thus enabling the children to soon write and say the date confidently.  We have taught and revised colours with all year groups and completed some fun Halloween activities too!  The older children have been creating their own monsters with their knowledge of French body parts.

I am delighted to share with you our French ambassadors.  These are role models in French that I have selected due to their positive attitude and effort.  Their main role is to support their peers and help those who are less confident with their French.  In addition, they have a role within the wider school to promote the learning of languages.  I will be meeting the French ambassadors to discuss how they might like to do this and look forward to sharing with you the fun things that they choose to do!  Our ambassadors are as follows:  Year 4: Tayla, Lucan and Jack. Year 5 & 6: Mia, Whittnie, Josh, Isabelle and Sophie. We will be choosing year 3 French Ambassadors in the New Year.
Finally, please take some time to look at our website www.Petite-Etoile.co.uk on which you will find some short support videos of the language we cover in class, plus some French cultural activities and competitions.  This will also be a platform to celebrate the work that we do in school.
A bientot, Madame Tomlinson."
