September 2021

Hello everyone!

This week in Forest School it was Oaks and Willows turn to enjoy the colour match activity following a story of a blackbird who had flown into a rainbow breaking it. The broken pieces had fallen into our woods so Rangers had a collection pot and colour swatch each to find the parts of the rainbow.  We ended the sessions with the much loved game of 123 where are you?

It was Chestnuts and Ash classes turn to do a journey stick. They needed to find a stick which was from their elbow to the tops of their fingers and the thickness of their thumbs. Ranger Mclaughlin and I attached a piece of wool. The rangers would move their way through the woods collecting items they would like and attaching them to the stick. The children's creations were amazing! We too ended with a couple of games of 123 where are you? Another great week in the woods.
