Africa has been the destination for our ‘Amazing Adventurers’ this week!  We have been reading the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’ by Eileen Browne. 

We used puppets to act out the story.  The children enjoyed taking turns to pretend to eat all of Handa’s fruit.

We have been using the sketching pencils to carefully draw the fruit from Handa’s basket.
  

We made African necklaces using the outside of a paper plate.  We looked carefully at the colours and patternIn Maths we have been thinking about shapes and how to represent them using different objects.
