We’ve had another exciting week, one of the highlights was having the Paralympian Sean Rose visited our school. He was a really interesting and inspiring person. Having been in the RAF as a fitness instructor, he had been all over the world. Mountaineering , climbing, skiing to name a few. Skiing was a true love for him and he represented the RAF as part of the Ski team. In 2000’s he crashed and broke his spine and was paralysed from the waist down. On his second day in hospital he wrote a list of things he could still do and set as a personal challenge. Armed with this bucket list he set about ticking off these challenges. With this mindset, he became a double world champion in skiing on a sit ski. Spending a long time explaining to us that adversity and challenges happen and that’s a part of life but how you face them is down to you. He was exceptionally inspiring to all the children and Ash Class.
