We have had another busy week in Chestnut Class this week!

We were all very excited on Monday to welcome a new member to our class, Mia. It has been lovely having her in Chestnut Class this week and we are looking forward to getting to know her more over the year!

This week, we have been learning and rehearsing our song for Harvest Festival. We worked hard polishing our performance of the Harvest Samba and we have now recorded it and will be uploading it onto Seesaw for our families to see. It is a shame that we were not able to come together to celebrate Harvest this year, but we hope that you all enjoy our song!

In Maths this week, we have been looking at measurement and statistics. We have enjoyed measuring objects in our classroom and using charts to present the data that we collected. We have also been able to apply our learning from last week to interpret and use the data to solve problems!

We have also had lots of super homework to share this week, which has been lovely to see. I have been so impressed with the children’s creativity with their homework challenges!

We can’t believe that we only have one more week left until half term! We have all worked really hard and had a great start to the year so will be ready for a well deserved rest and week off!
