Welcome Back September 2021-2022
Happy Friday everyone!
We have had a lovely first week back in Chestnut Class this week.
On Monday, we enjoyed getting to know each other and our new teachers. We played lots of games and took part in some team building activities! It was great to all be back together again after the summer holiday.
On Thursday, we had our ‘Sparkling Start’. We enjoyed dressing up as cave men and women, making our own Stone Age bread, building our own Stone Age dens and making Stone Age axes and puppets. We had lots of fun and we are looking forward to learning more about The Stone Age this term in school.
Chestnut Class have also been working very hard this week and they are settling in really well to year 3 and 4. In Maths this week, we have been looking at Number and Place Value and in English, we have been learning about how we can use adverbs and adjectives to make our writing even more exciting. The children have also learnt all about the different types of rock in Science this week and how each one is formed. We have been so impressed with the children’s effort and enthusiasm during lessons!
This week, we also enjoyed our first Forest School lesson with Mrs Sansom and Miss McLaughlin. We had so much fun and loved making our own Nature Bracelets! We are all looking forward to next week's session in the woods.
