In Year 6, Head Boy & Head Girl are elected through a whole school vote after speeches are made by the children who wish to run for the position. We think this is a wonderful way to show democracy as part of our British Values and for the children to practice their public speaking skills built up throughout the years at Thurleigh Primary School.

Head Boy & Girl have regular meetings with Mrs Augustine and the School Council to discuss ideas about fundraising, school trips and any improvements the school could implement as a whole. They also lead the Friday Celebrations Assembly and take visitors on show-rounds while representing the school as the wonderful place it is to be!
