Friday 1st April 2022

We have had a busy couple of weeks in Chestnut Class!

Last week on Tuesday evening, we performed in the Creative Arts festival at Sharnbrook Academy. We all loved working together to perform our dance for our families and friends and we all felt amazing after the performing and our parents and teachers were so proud of us!

On Monday, we also had our Fantastic Finish. We went on the bus to Kymbrook and spent the day with Zebra Class. We made loads of new friends and enjoyed lots of fun activities, all linked to our topic. With Mrs Morgan, we cooked recipes from Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipe book. We made Snozcumbers, James’ Giant Peach Juice, Vegetable Soup and Angel Delights. With Miss Calvert, we played drama games and worked collaboratively with our new friends from Zebra Class. It was great all getting together, and we can’t wait to be together again when we go on our residential trip after Easter.

Yesterday, we also performed in Sing On, alongside lots of other Primary Schools. It was great to be part of this experience and all our time rehearsing for this paid off and we had so much fun performing the songs we have been learning with Mrs Hiynes. Lots of us have found a real enjoyment in performing!

I am really proud of all the children have achieved this term and I am excited for our final term together as a class. I hope everyone has a lovely Easter and well deserved rest!
