Thurleigh Primary School & Nursery

5th November 2021

It’s a fun filled week in Ash Class.

We’re really enjoying our block of English which is Francis. It's a thriller narrative based on a short film and we have been creating detailed setting description and looking forward to creating our own narrative soon.

The children in drama club acted out scenes from Macbeth by Shakespeare. We were able to watch two performances and we really enjoyed it! This motivated us to prepare even more for our drama piece, we are all learning the Snow Queen, and we are becoming more excited about performing.

In forest schools, we have been in rain, sun and cold now and we love it. We have been learning about den building and to create a successful shelter. We had great fun making Bog babies, which is exactly as it sounds, using mud to make a mud doll! Great fun!

Mr Cole has a mystery crate in the corner of Ash Class, that has a ‘Do not touch’ sign. We cannot work out what it is. Mr Cole has said he will set us a code breaking task in Maths next week. If we crack the code, he will give us the code for the padlock so we can open it up. Can’t wait! Watch this space!
