Thurleigh Primary School & Nursery

22nd October 2021

This week in Forest School was great fun as always and was more about choices! We had all of activities we have carried out over the last half a term available so the children were able to choose what they would like to do!

Available was den building (this was the most popular), journey stick, colour match game, Forest crafts, potion play and Willows even made elder necklaces. All classes did this and the results were amazing! Lots of imagination and creativity! Whilst all the activities were in action some children were imaginative with things they found in our wonderful woods- sticks became disco sticks and one a microphone! Also, one girl in Chestnuts made a mud fairy - the same way you would a snow angel but in fallen leaves! Whilst Oaks were outside we needed to cut forest school short as we were interrupted by a thunder storm! These are one of the only times we are unable to stay out- thunderstorms and extremely high winds! Luckily, we just got in before the rain came down!

Hope everyone has a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing you when you get back! We are hoping to introduce some tools and fire next half term.
