Thurleigh Primary School & Nursery

Friday 15th October

This week in forest school, all classes had amazing fun at making dens in our beautiful woods!

The classes were split into smaller groups and then given the task to work together to create a den! They needed to work together whilst following the new rule of "if the stick is bigger than you, it takes two! If the stick is bigger than me (an adult) it takes three!" which the children took on board and we were able to witness great team work with plenty of independent discussion, negotiation and problem-solving taking place.

As always, the results were AMAZING! Some dens were simple but effective and then others in older year groups had details of cushions of leaves on seats, a front garden or a balcony! All were completely different and were great! The children had soooooo much fun doing this! The atmosphere was buzzing! Ranger McLaughlin and myself felt so incredibly proud of each and every one of them!
