Our school governors
Our Governing Body is responsible for the oversight of both Kymbrook and Thurleigh Primary schools as federated schools. .
Our Governing Board is made up of parents, staff and local community representatives. The governors help steer the schools’ direction, set goals and policies, oversee spending, make senior staff appointments, support and promote both Kymbrook and Thurleigh schools and provide the challenge to constantly improve the quality of teaching and learning.
As governors, we work closely with the Headteacher and the senior leadership team. We don’t get involved in operational matters but we do contribute to the schools’ development plan as well as review and monitor important areas such as the schools’ budgets, the impact of the curriculum and teaching and the progress and attainment of all the pupils across both our schools.
More details about our governance structure and constitution can be found on our Governance structure link.

Are you interested in becoming a governor?
We have two vacancies for motivated and committed individuals to join our relatively new dynamic team of governors.
If you have the enthusiasm and dedication to contribute to purposeful and effective strategic governance of our two schools and feel you have skills, time and drive to help our schools be the best they can be, why not join us?
You don’t have to have any prior governor experience nor any knowledge of our education system as we will offer support and training. It’s a great way to volunteer and give something back to the school community.
