‘Program and Build Day’ are workshops on Robotics designed to help achieving curriculum goals within areas such as computing, D&T (design and technology) and sciences. During each session students build and code robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® sets and an easy to use graphical environment. This provides knowledge and understanding about some key concepts from fields such as science, engineering, technology and mathematics. The children had an amazing opportunity to build and program robot, which was challenging, stimulating and such fun too! Willow Class built robots, Chestnut Class built and programmed Reptile Bots and Ash Class programmed and built Derby Cars. Everyone was so impressed with these workshops that we intend to make them a regular feature of our new curriculum, as we are committed to ensuring our children are equipped with lifelong skills they might need for future careers.
